I wasn't sure which Vax carpet washer to buy but I'm so glad I chose this one! I will say right at the beginning that the only downside is it is quite noisy (although I don't have another carpet washer to compare it to - so it could be much quieter than most, I just can't say). This machine needs to be assembled but it is all really simple and it didn't take me very long before I was filling it up ready to go. Instead of filling straight from the hot tap, I used a measuring jug as there isn't any markings on the tank except for the 'max' line. I also used the Pet cleaning solution.Vax AAA Pet Concentrate 1L.
This really works wonders, and leaves the carpets (and rugs) only slightly damp. When I turned the rug over, I couldn't see any damp patches at all. Everything dried completely within an hour or so. The hose attachment is easy to use and was great for doing small patches and hard to reach areas (also round the skirting to make sure everything was clean). There wasn't alot of foam like with other cleaners (I'd used one before which I'd hired from a diy store) and everywhere was left with a clean, fresh smell.
I really recommend this carpet washer; it is quick and easy to use and great value for money.
Have used this machine for the first time yesterday, and must say it is great, does exactly what is says it does! It is noisy, but who cares when it is doing a first rate job of getting the dirt out of 2 sofas ; a large carpet.
I was told by a few people that these kind of cleaners weren't very effective on cleaning but this one certainly is.
